Business Design Centre hosts the largest conference in its history
2009 start in record fashion for the Business Design Centre which held the biggest conference in its 23 year history in January. Final figures showed that the Baha’i five year planning conference saw 3200 delegates come though the doors.
The event was an exciting challenge for everyone involved in organizing and producing the event at the BDC. The caterers, The Good Eating Company, production company, AVC Productions, security team and dedicated BDC project management staff worked tirelessly to ensure that the event was a great success.
One of the organizers, Ranjit Appa, spoke highly of the venue following the event:
“I would like to record my appreciation and deep heartfelt thanks to everyone at the BDC for pulling out all the stops to make our Conference such a successful event. Every one of the 3150 participants were very appreciative of your facilities.
It is very difficult to single out each person but our Conference Co-ordinator, Kate Simpson was very efficient and co-operative. I cannot recall any problem which she was unable to solve.”
This was the largest Baha’i gathering in 45 years with a regional conference last weekend that brought together people from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, and Greenland.
The Bahá'í Faith is the youngest of the world's independent religions and has a worldwide community of some five million Bahá'ís with representatives of most of the nations, races and cultures in the world.
