It’s that time of year where the BDC will be hosting our annual entertainment event in support of Islington Giving in conjunction with AGE UK. Islington Giving was launched in 2010 with the aim of fighting poverty and supporting individuals in the borough. In aid of this two of the BDC team, Kathy Elson and Leanne Pettyfer, came together in 2013 to produce the Old Time Music Hall and ever since the event has become an annual celebration with over 250 Islington residents.
Taking place on the 21st February, That’s Entertainment 2016 invites 250 local individuals to take part in an afternoon filled with musical treats from singing and dancing to afternoon tea. This year the event will feature a variety of acts including Hunny B, Jessie Waterfield and our very own BDC tenant – Anna Fiorentini Theatre and Film School. Over forty volunteers, including Age UK, BDC partners and BDC staff will be in attendance to host another fun filled afternoon.
“It’s great to be able to organise this event for the third year running and it promises to be the best yet,” comments BDC Telephony Manager Kathy Elson. “We’ve auditioned some great acts for this year and changed the layout to accommodate the guests. I can only say thank you to all of those who have and will give their time to make the event a huge success.”
By involving residents, businesses, community organisations and all those who have an interest in Islington, Islington Giving can make a real difference to those in need. If you would be interested in giving your support please email them at firstname.lastname@example.org
