12 Blogs of Xmas: Day 5 ~ The Good Eating Company

07.12.2016 12 Blogs of Xmas: Day 5 ~ The Good Eating Company

To get over our mid-week slump and keep our spirits up for Christmas, we’ve got Bea and Aga (with a special mention from Liam) from Good Eating Company. They help keep the BDC’s appetite full every day and they’ll be letting us in on their favourite things about Christmas as well as some not so traditional dishes!

How long have you been working at the venue?

Bea: I’ve been working here for about a year and a half. We work with a great team, that’s definitely the best part.

Aga: I’ve been working here for 10 years! It’s great being here and having regular customers. You get to know them and their mood and it’s nice being a part of their routine.

Who is the most festive person in your office and how do you celebrate?

Bea: Definitely Liam! He likes to get into the Christmas spirit and wear his Santa hat around the venue.

What’s your favourite local spot to get you feeling festive?

Aga: I love Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. It really gets me into the Christmas Spirit and I love going there and hearing all of the Christmas songs.

Bea: Radicals and Victuallers on Upper Street is a really nice local place. They do great mulled wine around Christmas time!

What’s your favourite Christmas Tradition?

Bea: I spend Christmas back at home in Spain and it’s nice to be back with family.

Aga: Going home to Poland is great, being able to spend time with family and eat lots of food!

What is your favourite Christmas food, film and song?

Aga: My favourite Christmas song is Last Christmas by Wham – I love that song! My favourite Christmas film would either be Home Alone or Just Friends.

Bea: Christmas food is a little different at home! We have a big type of sweet bread called Roscón or rosca de reyes that we share with family – it’s delicious!

Aga: At home our food is a little different too! We have fish and a dish of cabbage with mushrooms. Before we eat our Christmas dinner we have a Christmas bread that we share with the family and wish each other good health.

What does the New Year have in store for Good Eating Company?

Liam: We’re definitely looking forward to looking after all of our new and existing clients as well as creating exciting menus for them!

Do you have any New Year’s Resolutions?

Bea: I hope to pass an exam in the New Year!

Aga: I don’t set any New Year’s resolutions; I would just break them within a week! I try to do resolutions all year round.
