Travel Advice in the Event of Strike Action

03.02.2017 Travel Advice in the Event of Strike Action

We are expecting a possible strike to affect some Tube services to the area from 8pm on Sunday 5th February, running until 11am on Wednesday 8th February.

Here at the Business Design Centre, we are lucky enough to be serviced by multiple routes to the venue so you can still reach us. Please find the best ways to get to us below and for updates on the planned strike you can find up to date information on the TfL website. We advise that you always check here before you travel.

The main visitor entrance to the Business Design Centre is situated on Upper Street, however if you are travelling to the loading bay to set up for a show or make deliveries then you will need to access the building from the Liverpool Road entrance. For more information on the Loading Bay, you can see our venue information.

Arriving on Public Transport

Even if Angel Station is closed the Business Design Centre is situated a short walk from Highbury and Islington station which runs on the Victoria line and to and from some mainline and overland stations. Alternatively, Essex Road station is also nearby.

For mainline train services Kings Cross St. Pancras International is also within walking distance and arriving into Euston will leave you only a short bus ride away.

You can find printable tube, bus and walking maps online, which include the location of the Business Design Centre in the Angel area.

Cycling to the Venue

Business Design Centre has an on-site car park with space to park bikes free of charge. There are also several local Santander Cycle stations. You can find out more about these on their website.

Travelling by car

We are conveniently located just outside the congestion charge zone, but please be aware your journey may take longer than usual. Our on-site car park has 285 spaces and is charged during the day at £6.20 for the first 2 hours and £3.10 per hour thereafter.

Please note, the best way to find the Upper Street Car Park, is by using the postcode N1 OPW. We would also advise that to ensure you have a space when it may be busy you can book online. You can find all the details online.

There is also additional car parking in the nearby N1 shopping centre's multi-story car park which is priced similarly.

Should you have any queries then please feel free to contact our concierge team at reception 24 hours a day who will be happy to help with more advice on alternative travel options. They are available on 0207 288 6475.
