Visiting for the first time?
With so many new exciting shows arriving at the venue over the next few months, we thought we would give those who are not regulars to our space a chance to get to know us a little better. VR Tech, Country Interiors Summer and the North Cyprus Show are around the corner, so whether you’re totally new or haven’t seen us for a while then this is for you…
First things first, get to know the team!
We have a small in house team who organise the events. The Conference Team consists of Kate, Charlotte, Lowri and Millie and on the Exhibition side; Georgina, Hayley, Natalie, Jack, Amy and Lyndsey. Check our website to see who is allocated to the show you are attending/exhibiting at.
There’s always a member of our team that will know all about the event you are attending so never be afraid to get in touch. We are always keen to hear from you and answer any questions you have about the show, the venue or the local area. As well as our in house team, we have fabulous contractors that we work with on the shows, including Freemans, GDS, AVC Live Ltd, the Good Eating Company and Onward Display – all of whom are based onsite to make events run smoothly.
Get to know the area!
We are located right in the heart of Angel which is buzzing with bars and restaurants for you to enjoy whilst you are visiting us. You can choose from a plethora – ASK Italian (which is barely one small step outside of the venue and you’re in!), Cabana: a great Brazilian restaurant and a favourite of many at the BDC and of course Old Royd located across the road from the venue offering a fabulour European menu. Just check our listings if you’re feeling peckish. Lets not forget that you can also visit our onsite restaurant Jack's which offers different menu options each day! We are also spoilt for shopping and Camden passage which is just opposite the BDC gives you a chance to potter around many beautiful independent boutiques and café’s.
Find a spot outside!
With spring now upon us and those sunny days starting to appear a bit more often, you can now enjoy restaurants such as VIVO and their amazing rooftop terrace as well as the many beer gardens you can find in Angel such as in Radicals and Victuallers and The Camden Head. Angel also consists of plenty of restaurants with outdoor seating to enjoy the few days of sun we have including Jamie’s Italian, Fredrick’s, The Coffee Works Project and Gallipolli to name a few.
If you are a newcomer to us, please do not hesitate to get in contact with the team if you have any questions, new exhibitors can also take a look at my previous blog ‘Top Tips for Exhibitors’ to ensure your stand is looking its best on the show floor.
We look forward to welcoming you all this time and hopefully many more!
