Coming up in June at the BDC

27.05.2014 Coming up in June at the BDC

Our events calendar shows no signs of slowing here at the BDC and its full steam ahead as we approach the summer months. From a housewares trade show to a java community conference we most certainly have plenty of exciting events for you to visit in the (hopefully) sunny month of June.

We are kicking off June with Get Energy which is taking place on the Mezzanine and in the Conference Centre from 2nd- 4th of June.  This year, oil and gas show Get Energy will have over 100 exhibitors from universities, colleges and private training providers.  Alongside the exhibition there will be speaker sessions focusing on the training and workforce development of the oil and gas industry. With this year being its 10th anniversary it is sure to be their best exhibition yet, so make sure you have purchased your ticket to guarantee entry!

Next on the agenda we have The London Toy Soldier Show which will be taking place in our Gallery Hall on the 7th June.  This event is Europe’s largest toy solider show so make sure you save the date in your diary! The event showcases a wide variety of figures produced by large manufactures as well as smaller production teams.  Along with the collectable items there will also be the chance to get your hands on items such as cabinets, tools and paint. Everything an enthusiast could ask for!!

After the London Toy Soldier Show we have the Exclusively Housewares team in the venue. This large trade exhibition will take place on the 10th & 11th June showcasing all the housewares products you could ever want from crockery, tableware to domestic appliances and kitchen textiles. This is the perfect event for all those in the housewares industry!

Coming up after London Toy Soldier  we then have Devoxx which will be taking place in the Gallery Hall and conference centre on the 12th & 13th June. This Java Community Conference will be jam-packed full of presentations and hands on labs delivered by professionals from the industry. As well as this you will get the opportunity to explore collaborative projects that may well wish to get involved in.

Moving on from technology to education we have the Ed Exec Live event taking place on the 18th June in our Conference Centre. Ed Exec Live is a great networking event targeting bursars and school business managers. The day will consist of seminar sessions and workshops alongside an exhibition in the Gallery Hall. There will also be a variety of key speakers who will be on hand to discuss any challenges you’re facing.

Next, we would like to welcome the MIMs conference which is new to the BDC.  The new clinical conference which is aimed at GP’s will take place on the 19th June. The event will give delegates the chance to discuss and hear the latest from industry experts. The conference will consist of four clinical streams dermatology, diabetes, oncology and woman’s health, all topics will be discussed through speaker sessions and case studies.

Last but not least we welcome back New Designers. This event is one of our larger events and has been at the BDC for over 25 years. This event is perfect for all the art and design enthusiasts wanting to network and discover new ideas. The event is split in to two parts, with the first week focusing on textiles, fashion accessories and contemporary applied arts. The event then continues into week two with visual communications, furniture and product design and motion theatre design.  There will also be talks and tours happening throughout the weeks for you to network with designers.

Please visit our Upcoming Events Page for any further details of the events we have coming up later on in the year.
