Coming up in August at the BDC!
We are half way through the summer and the sun is definitely shining here at the BDC as we prepare for what is to come in August. We have a busy month packed of activities that the BDC team will be involved in as well as a two new exhibitions.
Starting the month off we have CCS Media which will be held in our main exhibition space on Friday 1st August. We are looking forward to hosting this world class exhibition which will have over 85 leading global technology exhibitors. The expo will provide a variety of technology and services that a business needs varying from Cloud Services to Virtualisation and Infrastructure. There will be sessions happening throughout the day from various industry leaders on key initiatives and developments. Places on these sessions are limited and are distributed on a first come first served basis, so make sure you are there on time to get your place!
BDC are also soon to be hosting The Live Road Trip sponsored by Contiki on the 3rd August. The Roadtrip which SOLD OUT IN 2 HOURS! is a unique conference which has toured to 4 other destinations across the Europe before landing here at the BDC. It showcases some of the biggest YouTube names and gives you the chance to see some of their tutorials and incredible adventures from around the globe. Don’t forget to vote for your favourite YouTuber for the chance to win your own holiday with Contiki.
Last but not least… Let’s not forget that August is an extra special month for the BDC team as they embark on the Angel2Angel charity cycle ride from Sunday 17th – Friday 22nd for Islington Giving. The team have currently raised an astonishing £10,000 and are well on their way to their target of £25,000. To update you on their progress, several of the group will be embarking on a London to Brighton training session this weekend. With only one minor injury between them so far coming when a member toppled over trying out new clip in shoes, things seem to be going well with preparations.
The team will take to the roads for six days as they make their way from the Angel of the North back to the venue in Angel. If you would like to find out more information then check out the Angel2Angel blog. You can also donate on their Virgin Giving Page and keep up to date with their progress.
