Coming up in December at the BDC

Advent calendars at the ready! December 1st is only round the corner and the 3 week countdown to Christmas begins. First on our busy events calendar for December is Mines and Money which is open from 1st -5th is returning for the 7th year here at the BDC. 1000 companies come together, all with the same goal of connecting mining with investors. The conference and exhibition not only allows delegates to connect with over 200 mining companies but also the chance to catch some of the key mining investment leaders presenting keynotes, market analysis, company presentations, panels and workshops.
The Yoga Magazine which began in 2003 has grown to become the most recognised and bestselling monthly yoga publication in the UK. With a team being led by the highly respected Dr Malik the magazine is bringing The British Yoga Festival to the Business Design Centre on the 5th- 7th which will showcase a host of workshops, classes and demonstrations from Acro Yoga to Kundalini. On top of an outstanding line up of teachers the show is also attempting to set a world record! With such a huge range of activities over the event including Ayurveda, diet and nutrition, green living and meditation – it’s top of the list for all yogis!
London Toy Solider will be returning to the BDC on 6th December with its sister show, the Plastic Modellers Show taking place the following day on the 7th. This event is the largest of its kind in Europe bringing all traders together. The Toy Soldier show displays a diverse range of products from major manufacturers to smaller sellers with a wide range on offer for enthusiasts. It will also give visitors the chance to find all the tools that every collector would need. This event is perfect and a must for all traders, collectors and figure painters alike.
Scala eXchange 2014 arrives on the 8th & 9th December here at the BDC along with 2 of the most recognised Scala experts. Scala eXchange gives you the opportunity to take part in coding with the chance to learn some new tips in some of the lectures that are running throughout the event. With the final session on the program of the first day being a Q&A panel giving delegates the chance to discuss some of the burning questions from throughout the day. There is also the ideal opportunity to network with fellow industry professionals during the evening reception on the 8th December.
For the first year, the Association of Photographers are bringing their awards and exhibition to the BDC with the evening of the 11th December open as the Awards ceremony for both amateurs and professionals. Saturday is open to public to see the artwork on show and also visit a number of exhibitors at the venue. There is also the chance to take part in some seminars that are running over the 2 days.
Prospex 2014 is next to take place which is open over 2 days 11th-12th December. Prospex again brings together companies and potential investors all under one roof. Having been with us for a number of years, Prospex is becoming one of the most reputable shows of its kind within the industry. Don’t just stay for the event throughout the day but join other delegates on the evening of the 10th December for their networking reception.
We finish 2014 with The Chocolate Festival taking place on 12th-14th December which is just in time to get all the chocolatey gifts just before Christmas. Why not also treat yourself to some of the most fantastic chocolate there is on offer along with a visit to the Cocoa spa sponsored by Lush. Amongst all the treats in store there is also the chance to take part in some of the Truffle making workshops and meet with some of the new Cacao farmers directly.
