Sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do at the BDC. We do everything we can to leave as little an impact as we can on our planet.

For more than ten years, the BDC has been a carbon-neutral venue. We use only renewable energy, aim for zero waste and much more. However, it is not possible to entirely reduce our output to zero. We make up for the small amount of carbon we produce by offsetting.

We work with the Carbon Neutral Company to help us reduce our carbon emissions and calculate how much we need to offset. Together, we then look for impactful offsetting projects that align with our values.

Currently, we support offsetting projects in developing countries around the world. We specifically look for projects that benefit the people that live there, as well as the environment. We also select projects that align with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals

Projects we currently support include Acre Amazonian Rainforest Conservation, Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve and Guatemala Water Filtration.
