New Designers is an annual exhibition that brings together the best graduate design talent from across the UK.

New Designers is back for another edition, but this year is special. The leading design exhibition is celebrating 40 years in 2025 and has not only announced brand new ND ambassadors from the last four decades, but has also released a brand new look for the show to honour the four decades of encouraging up-and-coming designers in making their debuts in the industry. As well as this, ND25 looks ahead, revealing its plans to continue supporting the next generation of talent.
An impressive selection of alumni, including some of the most exciting names in the UK’s creative industries, are at the centre of this year’s New Designers 40th anniversary celebrations. These alumni all started their careers in the industry by showcasing their projects at New Designers as part of their graduating cohort. The ND Ambassador program, is being launched to support the next generation of design talent, and the alumni will attend the 2025 edition of the show for a host of panel discussions, industry networking, portfolio reviews, and talent spotting amongst this year’s cohort of graduates.

New Designers is one the BDC’s longest standing events, and is a key event in the calendar for the industry as well as the BDC. It welcomes over 2,500 design graduates every year as well as partners, sponsors, speakers and visitors to the venue and the local area. BDC, CEO Dominic Jones comments on how much the two-week event means to the BDC:
About New Designers:
New Designers is back at the BDC for their 40th anniversary showcasing the most creative up-and-coming designers in the UK. Since its founding four decades ago, New Designers has given more than 2,500 graduates an annual platform to showcase their innovative ideas. The event spans two weeks, with each showcasing several disciplines, including fashion, textiles, furniture, product design, illustration, and more. The New Designers awards feature the most creative graduates from these fields. The recipients of these prizes receive crucial industry assistance in the start of their careers, and it has been demonstrated that they have a profoundly favourable impact on the winners’ careers.
