We are coming to the end of a fantastic, busy year at the Business Design Centre, but we have a lot to be looking forward to in the New Year! We have hundreds of amazing shows returning to the venue, but are excited to announce a very dynamic range of new shows along with what our team are looking forward to about working on them.The first of many new shows we have is Festival of Genomics taking place in the Conference Centre and Gallery Hall on 23rd – 24th January. Bringing together over 2000 attendees for the most exciting genomics event in Europe. It is a perfect chance to hear from over 80 guest speakers including government and NHS professionals and proactively engaging in the latest technologies. Venue Services Manager Hayley Constable comments “I am looking forward to managing this event for the first time in the venue. It is a great networking opportunity for all of the attendees and we are looking forward to welcoming the team themselves on-site in January.”

The next brand new event is the UKAA Trade Show which will take place on 7th February. The purpose of this one-day event is to showcase the best ideas services and products hitting the market from innovative companies in the Build To Rent sector. There will also be talks from leaders in the market to discuss insights into how the Build To Rent industry is evolving. These leaders include; Grainger Greystar and CBRE. “This will be a great show to manage” explains Conference Executive Lowri Jones “The UKAA team have been great to work with so far and I’m excited to be working with them on-site in just a couple of months.” An additional event to add to the calendar for February is the Submarine Networks EMEA taking place on the 12th-13th. This two day conferencing event is the EMEA’s leading annual communications gathering where over 100 key note speakers will be discussing the new innovative submarine networks. This is an amazing opportunity for over 450 professional’s to network and engage in dynamic discussions. Also new to the BDC calendar is FUTR Europe Summit which is taking place on 24th-25th April. This is a two-day summit discussing the progressive moves in the retail marketing and commerce industry. This summit aims to share knowledge experiences and insights from this industry and attendees can expect to be immersed in the interactive future of retail marketing and commerce. Coming to the venue in the run upto summer is Make It British arriving on 29th – 30th May. This is an amazing trade show showcasing leading British manufacturers suppliers and producers. This event is perfect for upcoming designers and buyers who want to expand their products to British suppliers and manufacturers. Venue Services Manager Amy Smith explains “This is a great show to be working on to showcase the different British manufacturers available and a great networking opportunity for small businesses.” Amy is also working on the World Modelling Convention taking place on 15th-16th June. This convention brings everyone involved in the modelling and fashion industry together; giving upcoming socialites fashion designers models makeup artists and photographers’ unlimited networking and pioneering opportunities. The perfect event for those looking to increase their social influence. As summer draws to a close we are all excited to welcome the Floral Art and Design Show on the 8th – 10th August. This show is a celebration of 60 years of the NAFA’s where there will be fresh floral celebrations with hands-on demonstrations workshops and classes. This event is perfect for supporters of the NAFA’s and enthusiastic gardeners who are passionate about different floral displays. “The team of organisers have been brilliant to work with and I am looking forward to seeing such a terrific show come to life in the venue” notes Georgina Forester Venue Services Manager.
