The BDC is made up of many amazing members of staff, each of whom brings something unique to our building and adds to our vibrant and wonderful workplace. From our friendly reception team who greet everyone with a smile to our amazing kitchen staff who whip up some of the most mouthwatering meals in Angel, everyone here has their own story to tell. And when it comes to the success of the BDC, it all comes down to our hardworking staff.

On that note, we thought it was high time you met some of the team that make the BDC the welcoming and well-oiled machine that it is. And which better person to start with than one of our longest-standing team members and front of house extraordinaire, Ed Muboro.

Ed is one of the smiling faces that greets you at reception when you walk through our doors and is the go-to guy for just about everything BDC related. An expert all-rounder, Ed is in charge of managing the front of house, supervising security and introduces our residents to the building’s health and safety protocols.

He has been a firm fixture at the BDC for over 25 years and is a highly respected member of staff, having seen our building go through many changes and evolve into the world-class centre it is today (with his help, of course).

Ed is a firm favourite among building newcomers, who are treated to one of his famous induction tours. During these he shares his fascinating wealth of knowledge on our historic venue.  Recently celebrating a milestone birthday (we’ll leave it to you to guess which one), Ed shows no signs of slowing down. As well as a history buff, he is a keen fitness enthusiast and runner. Although he didn’t attend the recent London marathon, outside of work hours you can typically find him running down Regent’s Canal or dancing the night away at a salsa class.

So, with some early afternoon downtime at reception, we snatched him away from his usual spot at our concierge desk to ask him a few questions and find out a bit more about him and his role here at the BDC. Here’s how it went…

Thanks, Ed, for answering all our hard-hitting questions and for all the great work and positive energy you bring to the BDC.
