Coronavirus hasn't done much for our social lives, has it? As the government continues reopening many bars, pubs and restaurants, much to our relief, we're reacquainting ourselves with some of our favourite places to visit in Islington.

Coronavirus hasn’t done much for our social lives has it? As the government continues reopening many bars pubs and restaurants much to our relief we’re reacquainting ourselves with some of our favourite places to visit in Islington.

Here’s our top 5:

  1. Flight Club

Darts a great atmosphere a huge array of premium drinks and friendly bar staff; Flight Club is one of our favourite places to visit in Islington. A clever combination of ‘fun night out meets competitive darts’ makes for an evening packed with laughs. A night out at Flight Club is the perfect reward after months of lockdown boredom and social isolation.

We’ve no doubt this popular venue will come up with a bunch of innovative ideas for keeping patrons and staff safe when they reopen. We’ll be first at the door when they do!

  1. The Regent

One word springs to mind when we think of The Regent Pub in Islington; PIZZA.

The Regent bursts in at number 2 on our list of places to visit in Islington thanks to its great location brilliant array of drinks on offer and delicious homemade pizzas.

We’re delighted that The Regent has reopened already and is available for walk-ins and bookings. The pub is offering its full menu once again and you can even order a takeaway if you’re reluctant to end your lockdown hibernation just yet.

  1. Mem and Laz

For a touch of quirky sophistication you can’t beat Mem & Laz Brasserie in Angel.

Offering beautiful Mediterranean food and an interior designer’s dream on decor we’ve really missed their tasty lunchtime menu and late morning brunches during lockdown. Make sure you try their homemade apricot apple and almond crumble if you fancy something sweet – you won’t be disappointed!

If you’re not keen to eat in you can also order a takeaway from their diverse and authentic menu.

  1. Islington Green

If pubs and bars aren’t really your thing or you prefer something outdoors the park on Upper Street Islington Green is ideal!

With beautiful open space for social distancing this little slice of nature has earned its place on our list of top places to visit in Islington.

Overlooking the park is a local gem the Everyman Screen on the Green Cinema. Having remained closed throughout the lockdown the cinema has now reopened for bookings. So after a leisurely picnic or walk in the park you can enjoy the latest release or independent art film at this funky cinema chain.

  1. Business Design Centre (BDC)

We’re delighted that the Business Design Centre has reopened with some reassuring new safety measures in place. Whether you’re looking for affordable well equipped office space in Islington or you’re keen to attend an upcoming event we are taking every precaution to ensure that visitors and staff remain safe.

Jack’s Restaurant continues to serve delicious food as a takeaway and you can enjoy a hot coffee between meetings as usual. The noticeable difference in returning to the BDC will be the new guidance signage which is present throughout the venue. The key emphasis is to maintain social distancing around the building and to be kind and mindful of others.

We look forward to welcoming you back to our wonderful venue!

We have been working hard with our event organisers to reschedule events taking place over the coming months where necessary so advise visitors due to attend to check with the organising company about the arrangements that they have made. We are updating our upcoming listings with all events due to take place at the venue and you can find this here.

If you would like to book a site visit for an event you would like to book please get in touch. For any pre-booked events your event manager in the Conference or Venue Services teams will be happy to help with this.
