Find out the best way to travel to the BDC during the planned strikes across the London Overground network in February and March 2024.

Planned Strike Action

There are planned train strikes on the London Overground network in February and March 2024, so please check below and see our visiting us section before you travel.

Strike action for February and March 2024:

Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 February:

It has been announced that the industrial action by members of the RMT Union working for London Overground on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 February has been suspended. A normal service will operate.

We are currently aware that strike action has been announced by a union on the London Overground. If they go ahead, the strikes will disrupt services on:

  • Monday 4 March and Tuesday 5 March

Some stations will be closed or running differently. Some services will not run early in the morning or in the evenings.

If you’re using National Rail services from stations also served by London Overground, customers are advised to check before they travel, as some trains may not be able to run as expected.

For more information on National Rail services, visit the National Rail website.

Reduced services

No service is expected to run on these routes before 08:00 and after 18:00. Services that do run will be busier than usual.

  • Gospel Oak – Barking Riverside
  • Stratford – Richmond/Clapham Junction
  • Highbury & Islington – Clapham Junction/West Croydon/Crystal Palace/New Cross

Station closures and staffing

These stations will be closed during the strikes. London Overground services will not stop at them.

  • Haggerston
  • Hoxton
  • Rotherhithe
  • Shadwell
  • Shoreditch High Street
  • Wapping

Some other stations will be open, but unstaffed.
