Meet Cully, our Marketing Coordinator who has been here for just over a year.

The BDC has a fantastic team, everyone of whom contribute something special and make it a great place to work. From our front of house staff who always welcome guests with a smile, to partners like our incredible culinary crew who provide some of Angel’s most delicious dishes, each one has a story to share.
Over the last year we have had a few new faces join the BDC team, and today we are introducing Cully who joined, us just over a year ago, in June 2024. We caught up with Cully to learn a bit more about her and what she has learnt and what she’s looking forward to…
Cully joined as the Marketing Coordinator in the Marketing Department, helping to deliver opportunities to our clients as well as working closely with the local area, looking after social media and digital.
Before joining the BDC, Cully worked in marketing in the Biometric Security Industry and completed a BA Hons in Sports Development (Sports Management) and a MSc in Global Meetings and Events Management. Cully is looking forward to growing further in her role and attending industry events like The Festival of Marketing in October.
We asked Cully some of her top moments and advice that she has received.
What's the best advice you've received?
“Things happen for a reason, accept it and work with what is given to you as you never know what door it will open.”
What advice would you give to someone starting in the industry?
“It is okay to make mistakes, just as long as you learn from them and don’t be afraid to ask questions as you go.”
What aspects of your role have you found most rewarding so far?
“So far, I have found the sales aspect of my role far more rewarding and enjoyable than I thought I would, as it has helped me learn the venue and has given me new skills and experiences, which I look forward to continuing to improve and develop over time.”
And how about you…

“Going to concerts, watching rugby (specifically Bath or England) play or hanging out with friends in the sun.”
