Open House London
The first Open House in London was in 1992 Back then the ethos was much the same as it is today; giving free access to London’s best buildings was the founder Victoria Thornton’s way of inspiring the public about the benefits of great design.
When built, the BDC was one of the largest exhibition halls in the world. It was this building that was the original basis of the present hall, which has expanded on this site since the foundation stone was laid in 1861.
