We are delighted to share that the Business Design Centre has once again been recognised as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work.

We are delighted to share that the Business Design Centre has once again been recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list; an accolade that is testament to the company’s valued culture.

Prioritising the people that make the business what it is, has long been held in the highest regard by the management team, with an evolving approach that ensures the needs of new generations have continued to be addressed over the organisation’s almost forty-year history. From recognising staff longevity and valuable financial support, through to the wellbeing programme that includes, yoga and sound baths, the benefits package available to staff is extensive.

The evolution of the way in which staff are supported has been partly down to the team themselves over the years, with Chief Executive, Dominic Jones, implementing a new talent group to give colleagues the opportunity to shape the workplace that we benefit from today. Dominic commented,

“I’ve long believed that for us to be a successful business, it always starts with how well we look after our own people. We really care about them, their welfare, mental health, their general wellbeing and I believe they really feel that care and support. That’s why they in turn reward us by going that extra mile for our customers and why we have become renowned for our attention to detail and our excellent customer service.”

The Sunday Times Best Places to Work survey is the UK’s biggest study of employee engagement. Conducted anonymously through the workplace survey platform, powered by WorkL, staff are posed twenty-six employee engagement questions. This survey, developed by experts ranging from behavioural scientists and data analysts to psychologists and business leaders, scores overall engagement and wellbeing in the workplace. In order to rank highly an organisation must score well across six measures, such as reward and recognition, empowerment, wellbeing and job satisfaction.

Zoe Thomas, editor of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, explains,

“The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list is the UK’s biggest survey of employee engagement, compiled in partnership with the workplace expert WorkL. Spanning a raft of sectors and located throughout the UK, the organisations in this year’s list range from innovative start-ups with a handful of employees to big multinational corporations staffed by thousands. These organisations know that happy employees are the superpower helping them to thrive.”
