We are delighted to share that the Business Design Centre has been recognised as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for the second year running.

The Business Design Centre (BDC) is proud to announce that it has been named in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list for the second year running, recognising the strength of our workplace culture and ongoing commitment to employee wellbeing.
This national accolade reflects the experiences and feedback of our people, highlighting the BDC as a workplace where employees feel supported, empowered and valued.
What is The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list?
The Sunday Times Best Places to Work survey is the UK’s largest study of employee engagement. Conducted anonymously via the WorkL platform, it asks employees to respond to 26 questions designed to measure engagement levels, wellbeing and overall workplace experience.
The survey is developed by a panel of experts, including behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists and business leaders. To rank highly, organisations must perform strongly across six key areas such as reward and recognition, empowerment, wellbeing and job satisfaction.
Zoe Thomas, editor of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, explains:
“Spanning a raft of sectors and located throughout the UK, the organisations in this year’s list range from innovative start-ups with a handful of employees to big multinational corporations staffed by thousands. These organisations know that happy employees are the superpower helping them to thrive.”
A long-term commitment to employee wellbeing
For nearly 40 years, the Business Design Centre has placed its people at the heart of its business and operations, recognising that a positive workplace is fundamental to long-term success.
Max Bull, Chief Commercial Officer at the BDC, comments:
"Caring for our colleagues has always been central to how we operate. Since stepping into the role of Chief Commercial Officer in 2025, one of my priorities has been to protect and strengthen the culture that has defined the BDC throughout my twenty-five years here. The sense of care, trust and connection across the organisation is what makes it distinctive, and it is something I feel strongly responsible for sustaining."
Supporting our people to thrive
Our approach to wellbeing and employee satisfaction continues to evolve to meet the needs of each new generation of colleagues. Today, this includes a wide-ranging package of initiatives and benefits designed to support physical, mental and professional wellbeing, such as:
- Recognising and celebrating long-service milestones
- Providing meaningful financial support
- Offering a structured wellbeing programme featuring activities such as yoga and sound baths
- Supporting and encouraging learning, development and long-term career progression
This approach has been shaped in partnership with our people, including insights from the New Talent Group, which gives colleagues a clear voice in how our workplace continues to develop.
As Max adds:
"Much of this progress has been shaped by our people. The talent group established in recent years has given colleagues a clear voice in how our workplace develops, ensuring that our culture is truly shared. Every day we also see small but meaningful acts of care and thoughtfulness that make a lasting difference to those who work with us and visit us."
What this recognition means for the BDC
Being recognised once again as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work is a powerful endorsement of the culture we have built together at the Business Design Centre. It reflects our belief that investing in our people is essential to delivering excellence for our customers, partners and visitors.
