If you are a foodie in London, or someone who just loves discovering new places to eat, drink or play… The Angel Food Fortnight is one to add to your summer plans.
From Monday 14th July to Saturday 26th July, the buzzing North London neighbourhood becomes a playground for your palate with over 25 local businesses getting involved. This is more than just a food festival, it is a celebration of local businesses, community connection and the vibrant spirit of Angel.
It highlights Angel as a destination, supports local businesses and encourages residents and visitors alike to explore and engage with the neighbourhood. Below are just a few of the exciting offers you can take advantage of…
A Feast for Every Palate:
Whether you are into bold burgers, sushi artistry, or plant-based delights, there is something to savour.
- MEATliquor is offering a Beer Tasting & Bold Bites evening on Thursday 17th July, from 6.30pm, featuring a collaboration brew with Harbour Brewing Co.
- Get a free cocktail whne you spend £25 + at Sticks’N’Sushi, or treat an aspiring chef (kids aged 8-12) to a Kids Sushi Masterclass on Sunday 20th July.
- Wahaca are inviting you to enjoy a Sunshine Bowl and Juice for £10 or indulge in two complimentary Margaritas with their ‘favourites’ feasting menu.
- Lucky Voice is combining food and fun with £10 artisanal pizzas for karaoke-goers.
Community and Culture
The two-week festival is not just about food… it is also about a celebration of the community.
- At Bellanger, on Monday 14th July, guests dining in the restaurant from 5:00 pm will be offered a complimentary beverage and a traditional French Delicacy, in celebration of Bastille Day.
- Islington giving are doing Lunch on the Green, on Wednesday 16th July, to mark 15 years of the charity. The picnic-style gathering will feature live music, bring your own food (some snacks will be provided) and family-friendly activities.
- Borough Kitchen are hosting interactive cooking demos on Saturday 19th and Saturday 26th July. teaching you how to make flatbreads and compound butters using the Big Green Egg BBQ.
