BDC today announces the internal promotion of Max Bull to Chief Commercial Officer.

Following the recent departure of CEO, Dominic Jones, Max Bull steps into the lead position at the BDC, heading up the company and overseeing both commercial and operational activities.

Having joined the BDC back in 2000 as Venue Sales Manager, Bull has risen through the ranks over the past 25 years, joining the BDC Board in 2013. His long history at the venue has seen him grow the exhibition and conference business to the established level it is today, now taking on responsibility for both the showroom and wider operational aspects of the organisation.

Bull comments,

"I am delighted to be taking on this new role in driving the BDC forward into its next chapter. I have deep respect for the work that's been done over the many decades in bringing us this far and am excited to build on the strong foundation with our fantastic team. I look forward to working more closer alongside our wider executive body in this next phase, in both strengthening our culture and delivering continued value to our clients, employees, and stakeholders."

Jeremy Rees, CEO of Excel London, continues,

"Max has been a cornerstone of the BDC for many years, and his appointment as Chief Commercial Officer marks a natural and well-deserved progression. His deep understanding of the business combined with his leadership and dedication, make him the ideal person to take the organisation forward. I have every confidence that under his guidance, the BDC will continue to thrive and evolve."

Originally the Royal Agricultural Hall dating back to 1862, the Grade II listed BDC now spans a 4.5-acre freehold estate and hosts a wide array of leading events, awards and product launches, welcoming more than 900,000 visitors a year.

Last October, Excel London, part of ADNEC Group, completed the acquisition of BDCG Holdings as part of its ongoing investment in the UK MICE industry, ensuring a long-term commitment to one of London’s most historic and popular venues.
